For this private Bali residence, NSG directed the entire design lifecycle, from initial planning through to construction administration. Villa Nela beautifully pairs striking, white rectilinear frames with warm timber eaves and raw limestone accents, presenting a fresh, sophisticated perspective on modern Bali-style architecture.

The structure effortlessly balances geometric precision with soft, organic layers. Project Features

Framed Architecture

Crisp white structural frames contrast elegantly against rich, warm wood under-eaves and timber screens, establishing a bold, sophisticated, and instantly recognizable street presence.

Living Façades

Built-in structural planter boxes overflowing with vibrant trailing vines wrap around the upper balconies. This design softens the modern lines while acting as a lush, natural privacy screen for the bedroom suites.

Warm Finishes

The dedicated office and private zones feature rich herringbone timber flooring, bespoke wood built-ins, and slatted ceilings. The result is a deeply peaceful, tactile environment curated for both focus and relaxation.

Function

Optimizing a boutique 275-square-meter footprint, the home functions as an incredibly fluid, open-plan haven tailored for seamless indoor-outdoor living. Expansive floor-to-ceiling glass sliders completely dissolve the boundaries between the plush indoor lounge, the shaded poolside deck, and a freeform stone-lined swimming pool. While the lower level serves as a social, breeze-filled entertainment pavilion, the private upper quarters integrate lush planter façades that drape cascading greenery across the windows. This thoughtful spatial layout provides absolute visual tranquility and acoustic privacy, ensuring the villa feels like a quiet island retreat.
